Well, my list of favorite Designers, when it comes to Gowns (oh, my heart just skipped a beat) is endless. Here are a few of them!
Alexander McQueen
Lee Alexander McQueen is, without any doubt, one of the most respected fashion designers in the world. The British designer's collections include women's and men's ready-to-wear, accessories, eyewear and fragrance. He received British Designer of the year 1996, 1997, 2001, and 2003, A Most Excellent Commander of The British Empire (CBE) by her Majesty the Queen in 2003 and GQ Menswear Designer of the Year in 2007.
The suave Lady Behind the lace-i-licious affairs of McQueen's heavenly gowns is none other than Sarah Burton. She was rightly named as one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2012 and was awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to the British fashion industry in 2012. She was also the mastermind behind designing the divine wedding gown for the 'Ever-so-Sophisticated' Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.

Alberta Ferretti
This Italian Beauty is a fashion designer, who designs for Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti. In 1994, she renovated a 13th century castle into the Palazzo Viviani hotel in Montegridolfo. In 1993, Ferretti presented clothes reminiscent of The Great Gatsby for the Milan ready-to-wear shows. Her gowns are impeccably designed, with a unique combination of colors, patterns and sleek cuts.

This my ladies, is not an ordinary designer. He started designing since the age of 9! No wonder he is the ultimate favorite dress designer of Princesses and Queens around the world. He has dressed Princess Beatrice of York, Clotilde, Princess of Venice and Piedmont, Marie-Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece, Queen Rania of Jordan, Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, Princess Madeleine of Sweden, and Princess Claire of Luxembourg. He has also dressed some of my personal favorites from Hollywood like Halle Berry, Beyoncé, Angelina Jolie, Mila Kunis, Katy Perry, Emma Watson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Salma Hayek, Taylor Swift and Sandra Bullock.

Chakra is a Lebanese Designer, who has presented his Haute Couture collection during Paris Fashion Week in France several times. His collections are always one of the most imaginative. His fashion shows are greeted with overwhelming success and led him to create unique dresses for Hollywood celebrities like Kelly Rowland, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Marcia cross, Helen Mirren, Tyra banks, and many others. His collection was also featured in "The Devil Wears Prada" featuring (my favorite) Meryl Streep. He is a perfectionist, who designs gowns with meticulous cuts and styles.

Jean Paul Gaultier

Jean Paul Gaultier is a French Haute Couture and Pret-a-Porter fashion designer. It's really impressive that he never received any formal training as a designer. His first individual collection was released in 1976 and his characteristic irreverent style led him to be called as the enfant terrible of French fashion. Fashion editors like Melka Tréanton of Elle, Claude Brouet and Catherine Lardeur of French Marie Claire, were seduced by his creativity and immediately noticed his mastery of tailoring. Gaultier has designed a number of the costumes for rocker Marilyn Manson and for the singer Mylène Farmer. He has also designed the costumes for Kylie Minogue. In 2012, he was named as a member of the Jury for the Main Competition at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This was the first time a fashion designer was called to sit on a jury.

Marchesa is a British brand specializing in high end women's wear, launched in 2004 by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. It has been worn by many Hollywood Divas like, Penélope Cruz, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz, Selena Gomez, Halle Berry, Leighton Meester, Rihanna, Eva Longoria, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Emma Watson and Olivia Wilde. Sandra Bullock wore Marchesa at the 2010 Academy Awards, where she won Best Actress and was also named among the best dressed by readers of the Huffington Post. Marchesa is sold in high end department stores worldwide including Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Net-A-Porter, in the US.

Óscar ArÃstides Ortiz de la Renta Fiallo is a Dominican American fashion designer. He became internationally known in the 1960s as one of the couturiers to dress Jacqueline Kennedy. An award-winning designer, he worked for Lanvin and Balmain; his eponymous fashion house continues to dress leading figures, from film stars to royalty, into the 2010s. De La Renta is particularly known for his red carpet gowns and evening wear.

Roberto Cavalli is an Italian fashion designer, who is famous for exotic prints and for creating the sand-blasted look for jeans. Besides the main line, he designs RC Menswear as well as the youth aimed line Just Cavalli, women’s wear and accessories, shoes, eyewear, watches, jewelry, perfumes, underwear, and beachwear. He was a judge at the Miss Universe 1977 pageant where his future wife (Eva Duringer - quite interesting eh ;) was a contestant, who represented Austria and won second place.

Stella McCartney
Stella Nina McCartney is an English fashion designer. She is the daughter of former Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney and American photographer and animal rights activist Linda McCartney. She received the VH1/Vogue Designer of the Year award in New York. In 2000, she designed Madonna's wedding dress for her marriage to Guy Ritchie and in 2011, she was presented with the Red Carpet Award by the British Fashion Council. She was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2013 for her services to fashion.

Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani is an Italian fashion designer. His main lines include Valentino, Valentino Garavani, Valentino Roma and R.E.D. Valentino. On July 6, 2006, France's President Chirac awarded Valentino the Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur. In 2008, Valentino was presented with the Medal of the City of Paris for his services to fashion in the city. On September 7, 2011, Valentino was presented with the sixth annual Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion from the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology at a benefit luncheon in New York City.

Yves Saint Laurent
Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent was a French fashion designer, and is regarded as one of the greatest names in fashion history. In 1985, Caroline Rennolds Milbank wrote, "The most consistently celebrated and influential designer of the past twenty-five years, Yves Saint Laurent can be credited with both spurring the couture's rise from its sixties ashes and with finally rendering ready-to-wear reputable." He is also credited with having introduced the tuxedo suit for women and was known for his use of non-European cultural references, and non-white models.

Zuhair Murad
Zuhair Murad is a Lebanese fashion designer. His extensive lines encompass haute couture, ready-to-wear, accessories and eyewear. He plans to expand the fashion line to include beauty products, perfumes, swimwear, lingerie and furnishings. Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and many more have been seen wearing his dresses. He also designed Miss France's dress for Miss Universe 2009. Princess Al-Taweel of Saudi Arabia wore his creation when she attended the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Kristen Stewart was seen flashing a Zuhair Murad dress at the premiere of her film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 in 2012. Another creation of his was worn by the Australian sweetheart Miranda Kerr for the InStyle Golden Globes Party in 2013.
